Sustainability

Our commitment to sustainability has been at the forefront of this homegrown business from the beginning. Our products are handcrafted locally in small batches using high-quality, organic, and active botanical ingredients to ensure you get the freshest, finest product.

We practice responsible sourcing, actively procuring raw materials for our operations in an ethical, environmentally sustainable, and socially conscious way. All packaging, labels, and most raw materials are sourced from Ireland. One of the most substantial environmental advantages of using local materials is the significant reduction in carbon emissions and energy consumption associated with transportation. We buy both the raw ingredients and packaging from one source, ordering them in large batches cutting down on transportation cost, and emissions.

We aim to lower the impact on the environment and wildlife, during production, use, or after disposal. For this reason, we say no to plastic and non-recyclable materials everywhere possible, and no to chemical, or toxic ingredients. Those raw materials that are not native to Ireland we source directly from the Country of origin. For example the harvesting and shelling of the raw materials, such as Ghanian organic shea nut butter is done in a co-op environment where the Ghanian women can negotiate a fair price for their labour and raw product. For all such information and organic certification our supplier in Kilcoole, Co. Wexford can vouch for its authenticity.

From our fully recyclable amber glass packaging, recyclable plastic caps and tops, to using recycled labels and postal packaging, we remain true to our ethos of creating a sustainable, more environmentally responsible brand.
